Perlite is a volcanic rock that, once expanded, is in the form of white microbeads more or less small, airy and very light. A natural material, able to gorge with water to restore it gradually to the plant, a bit like micro-reserves. Neutral and inert, it has no influence on the quality of the soil or its pH. Perlite is used as a mixture in the substrates at the rate of 30 to 50%. It is appreciated for its ability to lighten and drain the earth and improve its structure and stability. It is also used pure for cuttings and seedlings and in hydroponics.
Store in a dry place and protected from light.
When using perlite, highly abrasive, the wearing of a dust mask is recommended.
