Terra Seed Mix 25l - CANNA

CANNA Terra Seed Mix is the ideal potting mix for germinating the seeds of your favourite plants. It works perfectly with the CANNA Start fertiliser.

Sowing Terra Seed Mix

Place the seeds in the Terra Seed Mix at a depth of about 2 to 3 mm (max. 5 mm) in a tray with a diameter of no more than 5 cm. Water the growing medium regularly with water. The seedling will initially use the food reserves present in the seed.

Keep the seeds warm (20-25°C) and maintain the humidity level, for example in a greenhouse. Remove the greenhouse cover as soon as the seedlings appear.

Young plants

Young plants are fragile. Therefore, avoid exposing them to direct sunlight or just under a grow lamp. They could burn. Give the young plants water with low electrical conductivity (1.2) and add CANNA RHIZOTONIC to strengthen the root network. The seedlings are ready for transplanting when two to three leaves have developed.

Growing outdoors

Although it is possible to germinate seeds directly in the soil outdoors, the success rate is considerably higher when germinating indoors. This is because the soil temperature outdoors is not really conducive to seed germination. Regularly place the germinated seedlings in a place where they can get used to outdoor conditions, for example on the balcony.

Germinate indoors first. Then place the germinated plants in a place where they can get used to outdoor conditions.

Cuttings and more

Once the roots are well developed in the Terra Seed Mix, the plants can be transferred to the final growing medium, such as CANNA Terra Professional or CANNA Terra Professional Plus.
