Hortistar Light Mix is a top-quality, lightly fertilized substrate, ideal for growing with fertilizers and for potting seedlings and cuttings. Feeding within Hortistar Light Mix is light enough for young, sensitive plants, which will thrive for around ten days without any additional feeding. Hortistar Light Mix has a well-balanced structure that includes the perfect amount of aeration with moisture retention to support healthy, vigorous root growth. Composed of brown and blond horticultural peats and magnesian lime to stabilize its pH, it has just the right amount of perlite and NPK fertilizer for a perfect start. The quality of this product is equivalent to that of the industry's leading brands. EC levels and pH are identical, and when comparing the texture of different samples from recognized brands, there was little or no difference in its composition. Yet it's 20% to 30% cheaper!
