Immerse the electrode of the pH meter in the solution to be tested. 5. Stir gently and wait for the reading to stabilize. 6. After use, rinse the electrode with water to minimize contamination. Turn the meter on by pressing the OFF button. 7. Store the electrode with a few drops of distilled water or ionized water in the protective cap. 8. Always replace the protective cap after use. Notes: 1. The electrode glass bulb is fragile. Treat it with care. Do not touch it with hard tools and fingers. Suck the water on it gently when cleaning. 2. PH Calibration:

1. Immerse the electrode in a standard pH 6.86(pH7.00) phosphate buffer solution and shake it gently. 2. Allow the reading to stabilize and with a small screwdriver turn the calibration trimmer until the display reads “6.86” (“7.00”). Rinse the electrode with distilled water and vacuum it with filter paper. 3. Immerse the electrode in pH4.01 or pH9.18(pH10.0) standard borax buffer solution. 4. After about one minute, until the display shows “4.01” or “9.18” (“10.0”).
