Applications

The VENTS RTS-5-U digital minimum speed fan controller is a temperature depended speed regulator for ventilated grow rooms with one or more fans. The regulator is applied to control exhaust fan or both exhaust and intake fans installed in a greenhouse. The regulator automatically changes the fans’ speed (airflow consumption) depending on the air temperature in a greenhouse thus keeping it constant and creating “negative pressure” and ensuring that all the air gets out through the carbon filter (preventing odour) and does not strain both exhaust and intake fans.

Design

The ready-to-use VENTS RTS-5-U controller comes in a sealed water resistant casing, completed with sckets for two fans, plugs with flap-lids, two knobs or setting of the required temperature and the minimum speed and two LED-indicators (controller operation and thermostat operation). The low voltage remote temperature sensor is protected against mechanical damages, comes fixed on a 4 meter long cable and is a perfect solution for humid rooms.

Setup instructions

Once the controller is mounted in a suitable position, insert the power-cord of exhaust fan into the controller’s socket marked as “exhaust fan” and the power-cord of intake fan - into the controller’s socket marked as “intake fan”. Install the remote temperature sensor at a point where the temperature measurement is required. Insert the controller’s power-cord into the mains socket. Now using the temperature knob set the required for greenhouse temperature. Using the speed knob set the required speed of the fans (airflow consumption).
