Product description
The STC 16 is a software-controlled climate controller. The STC is suitable for one or two fans and it has a 5 meter long temperature sensor (NTC) and a 5 meter long light sensor. With four simple dails you can set the minimum speed, the maximum speed, the temperature bandwidth and the desired temperature. The software wil then determine the needed speed to keep the temperature at the set point.
The mechanical aspect guarantees a robust and heavy duty controller with completely silent fan speed operation. The on-board temperature control software provides faster reaction times, lower idling speeds and improved accuracy for the very best result from this type of controller.
Bandwith
The manual selectable bandwith (between 1 and 7°C) ensures that the fancontroller doesn’t switch on or off at the smallest increase or decrease of temperature. It will wait for the temperature to change from the desired temperature plus or minus the selected bandwith.
Night-mode
Humidity can rise sharply during the night. To keep this humidity within acceptable values, you can choose to use the night-mode. The STC switches up twice an hour for a few minutes in small steps to a maximum speed of 80%. Thereby lowering the moisture in the air.
To use the Night-Mode simple remove the rubber cap from the light sensor the STC will now operate in night/ day mode. The green LED will now light up. Indicating the STC is in night mode.
If you want to switch the night mode off, turn the on/off/100% switch to the off position (0). Place the rubber cap over the lightsensor, wait 5 seconds and then switch the STC back on to Automatic. The night mode is now switched off. The green LED is now switched off.
Note: Too slowly rotating fans can create a lot of noice and can also cause failure of the fans. So make sure that the minimum level is not set too low.
